It has a steep learning curve, true. I personally like sharing `interface.cs` rather than what appears very similar `interface.proto` plus a bunch of tooling. Ahh well, things go in circles I guess.

I completely agree. Terrible stuff. It gets even worse with TFS and its new workflow system. In fact workflow in general is terrible and once again it's ' programming in XML'. Do MS dogfood this stuff at all?
