Might need to check something out. I saturate my 400mbit connection. Now PSN on the other hand... last time I used it Sony artificially limited it to something like 20mbit.

When you're talking about 3GB, sure. If you look at video games, a lot of your AAA games are coming in at 12-70GB or even 100GB. Certain games (I'm looking at you PUBG) also don't optimize their updates, so some updates can b

I feel like this is a prime example of survivorship bias. We're in an era where things have to be transcoded to utilize a smaller amount of bandwidth, so the stuff delivered to us it pre-optimized for our connection. If YouTube or Netf

Anyone here use Corellium? From marketing descriptions it just sounds like they made a hypervisor that can run iOS, which doesn't sound illegitimate to my. I'm assuming that Apple would have to go at it in a distribution-of-iOS-fi

Yeah, this right here. I work on a MVC 5 app that uses some pretty large legacy libraries that's going to be hard to move from. Some of it is legacy stuff that may or may not have a .NET Core or .NET Standard equivalent. Others like En

Seeing as how most premium laptops today are using some sort of PCI-E storage... I would say professionals that are using their laptops as workstations care. This isn't an interconnect made for external use per se, but for replaceable

Something that I think people are glancing over, this has some huge potential in the laptop / pro tablet space. I don't think someone like Apple would ever move to something like this, but standard NVMe mounting solutions are prob

To me this just verifies that diversity is better than uniformity in these scenarios. That's fine if you don't trust PayPal because of your own experiences, but why should we be forced to use Apple Pay?

It's almost as if there is a very large hacking scene for game consoles because people want to run whatever they can on the hardware they bought. Let's also not forget the whole Other OS fiasco with the PS3. I'm sure if the n

The problem is that Apple has often been replacing logic boards when this type of thing happens as well. Some people see it as a good thing, but it usually results in the complete wipe of data. Also there's obviously the idea where a k

I get that they're using the Pi in a production environment for small-sized-discrete-hardware hosting, but given the nature of the Pi and it's community, the tone of this article is confusing to me. The Pi is great for things like

Downloading from YouTube and having an actual good quality version is not the same thing. YouTube's compression does a really poor job compared to other platforms... which makes sense when you figure how much they have to store.

To add to this, I can see Microsoft adopting Vulkan. I don't understand why Apple has taken this approach. Well, I understand why _Apple_ did, but I feel like most companies in their position wouldn't invent a new API.
