I think it is more ruled by the earth magnetic field. And as the magnetic pole is closer to north america, you have them further (geographically) south there.

Sorry mate, but you did not see them properly. In February, we had some that looked like in the video to the naked eye. And I was in the outskirts of Stockholm, so neither that remote nor that far north. Obviously doesn't happen that o

In EU, by law you are supposed to show the reference price (lowest price in last 30 days pre reduction) in small print. Different implementations in different countries but, at least for me, it does what is supposed to do.

If you have a good storm and are far enough up to the pole, you do not need long exposure. Aurora was already famous before photography.

I think that is entirely the point: to keep the decision what to do with that wealth with those living. Imagine if the people of Egypt would still have to sacrifice one lamb each year for some ancient pharao. Sure, he pays for it, but only

You are obviously joking but still, give foiling (as in pump foiling, wing foiling or eFoil) a try. It's not the same but the closest you can get, at least within 3 feet over a water surface (which makes crashing a lot more benign)

Which precisely seems to be a big motivator for this project: there was a risk that the oil refinery Schwedt that supplies 1/3 of the german market would shut down due to being run on russian oil. So big construction companies looked f

It is long term contracts, not subsidies (which obvoliously are a type of long term price gurantee in most cases) alone. From what I read from Germany before, local grid shortages may further contribute. Since the price is constant in one g

I think you are mistaken, though I do not know how. Scandinavian countries accept quite many immigrants. I.e Sweden in 2022: 3.6/1000, compared to US (2020!): 3/1000. Both sources from wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.
