I feel like you didn't read my comment or didn't understand my point. That said, I won't make wide ranging judgements about your life based on the few words you have written.

The life of that Shepherd doesn't sound trivial at all. And neither does pursuing a life of chess mastery unless that pursuit doesn't bring one personal growth and satisfaction.

It is interesting how people react when you tell them something that is not part of the script they are used to hearing. Some laugh things like this off because they are uncomfortable with what you are telling them and have no other way to

The syntax was a part of what kept me away at first, but ultimately, it has become preferable to C# for me as well. It's likely similar for Java programmers moving to Scala for the syntax. I stumbled upon the following response on SO t

It's funny to me that for the most part, they are taking all of the same financial hit. This is such a meaningless gesture and it doesn't reflect well on the company. It is a very short term perspective.

Yeah, that's the Galleria. I haven't been in there for at least 20 years, but it seems to be doing well enough. I think that they have lower rent and a more central location that factor in to staying afloat. I also thought they wo

I wonder if this is a problem that can be solved by public-private partnerships. What if we have a public utility that maintains a network of cameras throughout the city that can be used to create a real-time self driving guidance system. U

Can we be a little more charitable and stick to the topic? De jure "Third World", would mean that the country is either poor, or developing, possibly industrialized[2], and rightfully such[1]. [1] https://www.google.com

Another reason could be that SO itself is trending downward. I know that there are people, like myself, who don't often use it or who just use it as part of a set of google results for the topic they are researching.
