Maybe it's a sampling bias? You don't realize how useful the bots are, because you only recounted or encountered those occasions where the bots are not useful.

There was a project that does exactly that: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33755016 But now it's offline.

Interestingly I see the Japanese glyph on Apple M1. My locale is English-US and I am a native Chinese speaker. When I paste it into VS Code it also renders Japanese, but when I click on the unicode code, it goes to https://symbl.

Upon further inspection it was a difficult question (3200) that just happened to be DP. In that case they just unfortunately chose a question that may cause confusion, since DP questions are usually not that hard.

I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic, but that's something I would expect a big organization to be particularly good at.

To me it doesn't look impressive at all. In this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvGmVmHv69s , Google talked about solving a competitive programming problem using dynamic programming. But DP is considered only an

That's different from what I have in mind. I guess what I really mean is "dine in solitude".

For me it's mostly vibe and ambiance issue with the restaurants. "Fast food" restaurants that serve your meal quickly are usually friendly to single person. Maybe a community curated list of places that are friendly to solo d

I'm glad I've done some of the non-obvious ones like quitting the job, living off savings, trying something new, working in public, etc. Along the way I also picked up learning the value of my time and negotiate terms. Somewhat re

I am pretty sure "type": "module" doesn't work with React Native/Expo and jest (in 2022 last time I tried). If you Google the error you will get stackoverflow posts with hundreds of upvotes. And that's the

I've worked for two companies with a board and a CEO. I think generally employees listen to and interact with CEO more than the board. Some of them probably don't know who's on the board before Saturday, like the rest of us.

I wouldn't attribute to greed for something sufficiently explained by emotions and loyalty. Their CEO who was doing well as far as anyone can tell, was removed forcibly. It is natural to feel strongly about it.

I experimented with using a streamlined workflow to use ChatGPT (GPT-4) for coding tasks. In the end I settled on a standalone desktop app to "compose" prompt with source code, instructions and formatting options which I can just

It's just an HTTP header, I'm sure frontend devs will be polyfilling the implementation before the browsers, if this were to be the standard.

There are valid use cases and complex interactions between multiple systems where the only solution is client handling of user token. Also, sessionStorage is a web standard and it is designed to store data to be used in the session. If you

I know this is a replacement for cookie, but some web apps use JS and sessionStorage on browser to store session token instead of using cookie. This protocol seems to also depend on JS to do client side cryto logic and adding HTTP headers.

The problem with HAR file is that it is by definition an archive format, and not design to be human-readable. For these types of records you typically want to store them in internal documentation system which usually consist of markdown or

Thanks. So it is the same amount of steps as I have for Chrome now. Please do consider adding a feature to export everything in one shot. It would save people like me a lot of clicks (for a lot of APIs across different environments).

Yes. I usually use MITMProxy for mobile and Chrome for desktop for such tasks. The other comment suggests the term "exchange" which I like.

Thanks for the response. Does the client (desktop app) support exporting the full exchange as txt? I would switch to HTTPie Desktop if this is supported.

Would that actually help your cause, since it would push people to build and distribute their own user agents which accepts self-signed certs/CA in a user-driven community without big corp oversight?

Pardon my knowledge. If we are to get very technical instead of for average people, surely you can self-sign a cert and setup your CA chain on the computers in your local network? Or is there something else that prevents you from hosting HT
