He is definitely technical. Like, his engineers can explain stuff to him. That said, let's not extoll Musk as some super-brilliant mind. He is good, but not THAT good. He pissed off a lot of people at PayPal when he was aggressively pu

With all the wining about European socialism, this is what I pay with combined NYC, state, and federal taxes, plus all the deductions for the safety net that the government should provide anyway.

The characteristic is being able to see the talents of others and exploit them. Jobs was and Musk is great at that, although Musk is an actual [software] engineer. Those employees trapped on an island for months developing SpaceX rockets in

Smart doesn't mean wise. Yes, he has pushed electric car and space market forward, but he talked about e-cars and going to Mars back when he was 14. He is literally a rich kid living out his teenage phantasies. Albeit successfully. He

The crypto bros were telling everyone on Twitter to "enjoy being poor", when they were loaded up on Luna. How am I supposed to feel about that kind of attitude?

And microservices do NOT require an organized, cohesive team with good communication? If anything, there is MORE communication. And how many teams who do distributed systems really know what will happen if a critical service goes down? The

Fair enough. At that scale it's different. My point is that many major companies were a productive team working with a monolith until it simply was not feasible.

Hell yes. Good knowledge of SQL is a superpower and is becoming a rare art form. The new generation of devs thinks that frameworks and ORMs will do the magic for them at no cost, but they don't. There is no substitute for leveraging yo

With all due respect, this is not some in-the-moment emotionally-colored thing. Months after America has almost lost its democracy for good, we are just now finding out that we were extremely lucky that it all worked out this time. So, no,
