Reminds me a lot of the Karma engine by uber hacker Stephen Kay which has been ported to Korg and Yamaha workstations.

I would add another keyboard category, the workstation synthesizer (Fantom, Kronos/Nautilus, Montage...) which also let you perform solo and allow you to create your own productions (the Kronos will even burn a CD!) Supposed to be the

This is a great question, but I'd answer that paying _some_ attention is better than paying _no_ attention at all. Some people study and train for years and reportedly they achieve full happiness, but certainly that is not my case and

Yes. I will be back to where I was before I was born: not being. Edit: You captured the idea, I am able to determine what will be my next steps in life, but once my life has ended it will be written in stone. So what's time, what is

I believe the article serves as a nice and quick introduction to CBT. That shit works, but I would not say it's a matter of mind over matter, it's more like realising that your behaviour depends on how you feel and your thoughts

But were you really insulted? Cognitive biases like the ones that are described in the article are the proverbial colors of the glasses with which you look at all what happens around you. If they are too negative you will react with fear

> So what do procurement teams hate? Things purchased from a single supplier, with no competition/accepted substitute, and no/little ability to negotiate the price or payment terms. That is also my experience with procurement.

Good recommendations in the thread. I would ask myself: what would I expect to be building with Go or Rust? Of course, you can build anything with Go or Rust --or any turing-complete programming language for that matter. But *I believe* R

One of the procurement team members from a client said: "Adobe is the most unpleasant vendor we work with". I was surprised and then they added: "We prefer working with Oracle". Somehow they have managed to out-Oracle

True that, but it's not their fault, it's just their turf. They need to solve business needs for core processes in a sufficiently generic way to be applicable to any big enterprise. The only way to achieve this is through heavy

I enjoyed the no-code vs code intersection framework. I would like to add that one needs to take into account that the no-code/low-code curve is _dynamic_: tools are always pushing to the right so the intersection between curves is no

It's not a matter of personal preference if your work for someone else. This stuff is bound to happen in the years to come. Local development of course will still be possible but will become the minority in the global workforce.
