Many exchanges are regulated, but maybe not as banks. But yes you're trusting that exchange with your money. If used for web-micropayments it shouldn't be much of an issue though.

But you can't send $0.01 instantly and anonymously with bank rails. The solution is to use a crypto exchange on crypto rails - just not a regular crypto wallet (you could, but perhaps not very user friendly)

The problem with BAT tokens is they're BAT tokens. If they had just used USDC I feel like it would be much more popular.

The best way to do this today is through any crypto exchange that supports USDC. I just tested this - I went in to Robinhood and sent 0.01 USDC to a SOL address. It cost me $0.001 as a transfer fee and took about 30 seconds total. I agree t

You can just send a transaction from your exchange. Like, let's say I want to send you $0.10 right now. I would just go into Robinhood and send 0.1 USDC to you on Polygon or Solana, that would arrive in your wallet instantly from a Rob

The author states that 2,000+ studies on curcumin are published annually, but basically dismisses the compound as ever potentially being effective by citing a single study. I think more evidence is needed by the author to make that assertio

It would be neat to have a version that plugs straight in to a Macbook pro and uses that for all the processing + battery. Then it's basically just a portable external display.

It's possible that white noise is interesting to look at but it simply overloads our feeble human brains. If you could zoom in, slow down, and blur the white noise to make it a slowly changing gradient I bet it would be somewhat engagi

Americans love to buy 6,000lb tanks with the aerodynamics of a brick and then complain about high gas prices. It's the American way.

Running servers at home is surprisingly easy, especially if you have a good ISP. With AT&T Fiber, you can get 5Gbps symmetric internet with dedicated IPs at $3/mo each. With a few threadripper servers and a basic UPS and you have t

Bitcoin is such a bad payment method, even with Lightning network, because you need to buy a volatile asset and payment processors typically charge huge fees to receive BTC payments. If Kagi supported USDC I would definitely use it.
