Would you let it dry naturally? Or do you have any tips for accelerating the drying process?

Hmm, info? Also, it's been about two days since the spill. Would it be harmful to wait for these chemicals to arrive, rather than cleaning right -now-?

Considering this is completely about graphics, the parent comment is totally valid.

Speaking of SBCL, I really wish someone would make SBCL stable on Windows. Please. (Windows XP, Vista, and 7. Don't even worry about 64-bit right now, just get 32-bit fully functional and stable.)

Any high school senior who self-describes as a "pretty badass dev and designer" desperately needs more education. And what if he is a pretty badass dev and designer?

Okay, then it was to pad the js file to 1024 bytes, because 1024 bytes is more interesting than 1014 bytes.

Probably because he wanted to keep 1-letter variable names, and 1024 is more interesting than 1022.

How about accepting the apparent fact that we are completely alone, instead of trying to satiate our immense egos with fantasies about why someone else would possibly want to ignore something so important as the human race?

Yeah, check 'em out: http://www.amillionpixels.us/sourcecode.htm There are surprisingly many useful snippets. For example, a single header and source file for an entire, complete A* pathfinding implementation! That's a massive timesave

.... Something is obviously being lost in translation here. There are certain programming problems which can be solved once and used forever. The problem wouldn't necessarily be considered a single function. However, it isn't a massive pr

I think any action taken today is unlikely to preserve resources 500 years from now. You'd have to start some sort of monastery devoted to hoarding helium. (This is harder than it sounds. Helium diffuses through metal tanks.) Okay, I godd

Ah. This is a pretty interesting discussion, I think, so let's try to figure it out. One of my points -- disregarding whether the concept of quoting a price is good or not -- is that there isn't anything fundamentally wrong about this form

No. As soon as your function has a dependency on anything else whatsoever, it can no longer be copy-and-pasted into another project A snippet consists of functions which accomplish a specific task. The important part is that the entire snip

It's interesting that you imply http://www.highwayfreight.com/index.php is bad design, when you consider the design of the website you're typing into. :) My point is, you have to find actual opportunities. A shiny website may not be o

It's not really acceptable on HN to editorialize the title like that. In fact, I believe it's explicitly forbidden.
