I really want to insist on this: when someone develops software, you don't get to choose what they develop. That's just life. If they make their software open source, you get to fork it (sometimes contribute to it) and this is alr

So fundamentally, "everyone else" is scammed. Unless the class A scammers get so, so rich that everyone else gets rich as well. In which case it's still a scam, but the "everyone else" are happy anyway.

I don't treat OSes like costumes, but I don't see the problem with people doing it? Many times it feels like it's people being enthusiastic about Linux, jumping from one distro to the other, and commenting on which one they p

Right. So I say "people don't care", and you say "they do: look at the 3% of people who use Firefox!". Can we agree on "the vast majority of people don't care", then? Does 97% or even 93% qualify for

I am confused, why were your messages flagged? I disagreed with you, but I didn't see a reason to flag them? Also I don't know how to flag a message, but that's another topic.

Let's keep praying for fewer and fewer regulations, it's going great! I didn't know that VCs were ever "not cancer", I've always known them like that. Also my experience with startups is that it is a big scam f

Not sure if you're trying to offend me or not. But it seems like you agree with me: people don't care. You just somehow wanted to call me a weirdo on the way.

I feel like we are nitpicking here. Would you say that Google actually cares about those 3%? When you have 97% of the market, you own the market, right? It's actually problematic to own 100% because then it's strictly a monopoly.

Better security, for once. You get (security) updates a lot faster with GrapheneOS. Also on GrapheneOS, Play Services and Play Store come unprivileged, sandboxed like any other app. So Google is not an admin on your phone, which I would a

Isn't it the case for all bugs? If they appear in the production software, it means that they passed the review. And obviously bugs shouldn't pass the review, but that's easier said than done.

Sure. But we're talking about a phone with GrapheneOS. If I need to choose a phone with GrapheneOS, there are cheap to expensive Pixels, and it is not clear at all if there will ever be cheap Motorolas. The Signature is very expensive,

The thing is, you can buy a Pixel 8a or 9 for a fraction of the price. With Motorola at first it will only be the expensive flagship. My hope is that Motorola will have cheaper phones that work with GrapheneOS.
