MyHeritage has a long and detailed privacy policy. Seems like that they are aiming to meet EU standards. Don't have personal experience though, and they might not provide everything what you are looking for.

Why do you need a full blown Linux for that? Much of the provided features are overkill for such embedded systems. Both NuttX and Zephyr provide POSIX(-like) APIs, NuttX has an API quite similar to the Linux kernel, so it should be somewhat

This is cool. to avoid the repeated recompilation for every execution, you could drop in ccache. It will still add some overhead though, but much less than a full recompilation.
