You might be able to create a shell alias named "cd.." or a short bash script "/usr/bin/cd.." with the appropriate content. Have no tried though.

- jmholla 1y agoA bash script won't work because it will run `cd ..` in a new process which won't affect the current shell. But, the following do work in bash: alias cd..="cd .." or this in your `.bashrc` or some file you source in your `.bashrc`: cd..() { cd .. }
