I use two displays with the same specs as yours, but have them both vertical. Code goes on one, browser/documentation on the other, and I don't have to turn my head too much to go between them. But then I _really_ like a vertical

Maybe not all, but I want to ban most advertising. Ads in public spaces, such as on billboards, buildings, taxis, etc. should be illegal. Being in public is not an agreement to receive advertisement. Any product or service that has advertis

That USB has 21 isos on it. I wonder why they didn't just make it a giant bootable USB.

Sure, I wasn't suggesting to order those exact ones. If I was in a position of offering something of roughly 100 GB on physical media, I would spend more effort looking into it, but would expect something of roughly that price to be av

Or just a USB drive. You can get a 128 GB flash drive for under $10; I'm sure it would be much less if buying in bulk. Edit: A quick search shows some on AliExpress for $0.99.

Jesus, that's the exact kind of reasoning that happens in Catch 22. When did reality become more farsical than parody? I'd laugh, if it wasn't a situation with so much real harm to real people.

You could do an experiment where you have a plant in a pot on a scale, weigh how much water you give it, and calculate expected evaporation. Then, at some point, remove and weigh the plant to see if it contains all of the accumulated mass.

As others said, we checked the state file into git. It was up to you to ensure you pulled after taking a lock.

At a prior company, we had a terraform slack channel, where people would post lock and unlock emojis and apply terraform manually. Obviously, it's not a perfect system, and it doesn't indefinitely scale, but it worked well enough.

That's called RAII, and I'm a big fan (not of the name, though. It's a terrible name). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_acquisition_is_init...

I'm an American, and am familiar with some of those. Never heard kilopound before--that one seems the craziest to me for some reason. It's like, lets take this wild unit system where we have bespoke units for every scale, but then

I found it a much nicer way to think about physical concepts. Torque and magnetism, for example, make much more sense as bivectors. And never having to do the right-hand rule is a nice plus.

Bevy is structured in a way that you really don't have to interact with the borrow-checker very much. Components and Resources will probably always use owned types, and Querys and Refs let you interact with them without having to worry

When I type `ls`, I generally want to see file names and types, and nothing else. It would be really unfortunate to need a full `ls -l` to see file types. In fact, I always want to see file types alongside their names, so I really don'

Ah, but to make the 3 character limit matter, you need to have the source files on dos. So, it's not enough to compile a binary for dos, but one needs to run the compiler itself on dos!

Why are filename extensions awful? I find it incredibly useful to tell what kind of file something is by just glancing at it. Or do you envision tools like `ls` and file browsers also showing metadata at all times?

Note: Your pricing page seems to be a template that hasn't been filled in. It's full of filler text, and what isn't Latin is about plants. Edit: Actually, not just your pricing page, but pretty much your whole website.

In addition to memory safety and performance, Rust offers something that, as far as I'm aware, no other mainstream languages offer: protection from data races. And it offers those things along with a fantastic type system, and great to

Let's say crate B depends on crate A with a pinned dependency, and uses one of its types in a public interface. Crate C depends on them both. It now can't bring in updates to A until B does, and when B updates that's a breaki
