Yeah I think Basterds is probably the most undeniably great, even if it's not my favourite. He even calls his shot with the last spoken line being “i think this might be my masterpiece”. Probably my favourite thing about cinema is how

Funnily enough I deeply dislike Django too and think Reservoir Dogs is good but extremely raw and unrefined. My favourites of his are probably Once upon a time, Jackie Brown and Deathproof, with an honourable mention for Basterds.

You're not alone. I find it pretty dull, manipulative and schmaltzy. This is the great thing about art, there's no objective measurement, people are free to disagree and like what they like.

I wouldn't even rate pulp fiction highly on Tarantino's filmography. I tried watching it recently and found it to be incredibly pretentious and overwritten.

Genuinely hilarious that this is banned off the front page. A YC alum is calling people who publish data terrorists and the fascism apologist bros are like "this site isn't for politics"

Crazy stuff, I've been playing for 40 years since I was 3 and I could maybe just about play some of those pieces with a lot of practice! I hope you can still get some joy from playing, that's probably way more important than wheth

Yep we probably reached "CD quality" at 1080p to be honest. i.e. a level beyond which the vast majority of people won't be able to perceive a quality difference. We definitely reached it at 4k at a size/distance of most

The other way people get confused about Kessler syndrome is that they imagine it's like the movie Gravity where it happens suddenly rather than a slow process that plays out over years/decades.
