Nope it’s ad hominem and a propaganda technique used when your argument is flimsy. There’s nothing essential about it, you could discuss the merits of Ukraine on its own but instead you had to try to obfuscate and distract by expanding to Y

I’m not downplaying, I disagree with characterising it as an armed coup but figured there’s no point in even talking to you about that. So all you’ve got left is some whataboutery? I’m guessing from your tone you thing NATO involvement in Y

I love when people say the USA or UK pushed this war. Russia tried to perform a decapitation attack on Ukraine and failed. There was no reasonable cause for this, they just thought they could get away with it and keep Ukraine as a vassal st

I think it’s pretty clear now why they wanted to join NATO, the same reason Finland, Estonia, Lithuania etc wanted to join, Russia hasn’t given up on restoring the Russian Empire.

Can’t speak for the rest of Europe but if the Irish DPC put Facebook out of business it would be seen as a massive financial own goal by most of the Irish electorate.

But it did also find that using Ketamine to treat depression had about the same efficacy as knocking them out and shooting saline into them. So maybe Ketamine does nothing and people just feel better when someone cares for them. Anyway in t

I wish people would stop assuming that all politicians believe in the things they propose. Many are basically sociopaths who just agree with whatever gets them votes.

So using a country’s own legal system to protect the free expression rights of its citizens is imperialism? Feels like you might be debasing the word a bit there.

To be considered an invasive species requires that the species is introduced to an area, become overpopulated and harm the ecosystem. Which honestly describes humans pretty much everywhere…

Thank you for helping me turn despair into joy. I was getting upset by all the crazy cultish assertions in this thread. This reminded me how funny it all is. Clearly so much emotion involved when people discuss diet!
