That page actually doesn't use the word "crowdfunding" anywhere, but "campaign" does seem like an odd term considering how they're framing it. Marketers are gonna market, though. What else could they call it...

If you can't rely on current working directories then you have to specify any file locations absolutely? That doesn't seem like a good idea because then your code quickly turns into a hot mess if you ever have to change where stuf

I think its more about the magnitude of innovation. Twitter barely does anything new. It's not really that fundamentally different than a mailing list... The reason it's a big deal comes from the fact that tons of people use it -
