No, they don't disable the Windows Defender filter, they put it in async mode.

https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/15805010 I see x86 on top (the first valid result is 6841, which is x86), if that is the sole benchmark we're going to look at. You can further break that down into the in

How? x86 leads on performance. It's reasonably low power now, too; perhaps not the best, but it's not aughts-era power consumption.

Windows Defender is a file system filter which you cannot disable. You may have others (but they're fortunately rare, now). All that said, you cannot disable the architecture, i.e. bypass the file system filter code.

No, it’s not NTFS, it’s the file system filter architecture of the NT kernel.

Original article that should replace OP's link: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3068331/windows-12-rumors-fe... Highly speculative with no concrete information.

Other states deal with it by making it a civil infraction, not a moving violation, bypassing the 4th amendment issue.

MCP provides a real-world benefit. Namely anyone of any skill level who can create agents is able to use them. CLI? Nope.

Tell my business users to use CLI when they create their agents. It's just not happening. MCP is point-and-click for them. MCP is far from dead, at least outside of tech circles.

If you can deal with known vulnerabilities and cross-reference all of Apple's CVE notes, more power to you. I can't say I have that much free time (Liquid Glass sucks, though).

Of course “Apple” isn’t listening here. Leave the upvote begging to reddit. Apple has proper channels for this, including https://www.apple.com/feedback/macos/ . Given Apple has provided a workaround, don’t expect

Not all security fixes are backported so unfortunately if you’re concerned about vulnerabilities, updating to the current release OS is a requirement. https://support.apple.com/guide/deployment/software-update-p...

That uh doesn't detract from it's security issues. And arguably makes it less useful as a product. "If I put this virus on a virtual machine with no network access, it's safe". Sure.

When using a multi-tenant SaaS LLM with strict private networking requirements, MCP is a great way to expose data/services. But like you said, if you want something unpolished/hobby level, go for CLI.

Users don’t understand CLI nor want to manage the systems to run CLI. MCP provides users with an easy to use and convenient method to access data.

Of course it’s possible. There are multiple decentralized and fragmented solutions. This is a concept from the early 2010s. Storj and Sia are just two examples.
