Author is a software dev and still 90% of what he understands from it is “there is a box you ask smart machine silly questions and it answers like human does or can generate a funny cat”. There is more to it but it requires more effort to l

If you make shoes and call them pomodoros I guess that’s fine. If you make an app that competes with and implements the same idea and you call it the same that doesn’t sound like “free” or “fair” use.

Friendly reminder that you might want to drop “pomodoro” from your app. To officially use the Pomodoro® name and logo in your application or platform, you must acquire a license. https://www.pomodorotechnique.com/pomodoro-

It is not anymore, because cloud providers noticed it and started to exploit that thinking. Cloud is cheap on low end servers. You can heave really cheap setup to start as a gateway drug. Once you turn that knob to full speed it is super ex

I would wonder about dog vs other animals. With dog you have to walk outside even if you have a garden, a dog needs a daily walk a bit further around. Cat doesn’t need a walk, well it requires play time but I would say walking around the bl

anthropomorphization definitely sucks, hype is over the board. But it is far from snake oil as it actually is useful and does a lot of stuff really.

It is super important to have “no asshole zones”. We can joke about “safe space” like “South Park” did but at least not having your work shredded to parts with snarky comments goes far. I started posting on LinkedIn this year. I was afraid

Well not entirely because you always want defense in depth. Let’s say you are running 20 apps and 10 of them have security vulnerabilities like RCE. Testing and deploying patches takes time probably you cannot just update 10 apps at once wi
