I can imagine this has to be like that as they usually get $1500 per month in donations. You could buy a newer one but I guess they have other stuff they have to pay for.

Bulk editing yes. Now read again "different properties on different issues". Like you are not going to bulk edit task requirements or set title for 20 tasks to the same thing.

Wow I see you never had to edit more than 20 things on a list in a Web 1.0 submit form style. Like go over 20 jira tickets to update the names or adjust different properties on different ticket.

Feels utterly demoralizing when you have to vote for lesser evil and not for someone you feel will be better for the future.

Feels like BS I guess wrapping 2 or even more versions should not be that much of a problem. There was drama that ollama doesn’t credit llama.cpp and most likely crediting it was „not aligning with their goals”.

I built my career on MSFT stack I am going to be their cheerleader, don't want them to go down or stagnate as I would have to switch stack. I don't understand people who are just consumers and have no actual business to root for M

.NET is now cross platform, but only as long as it doesn't hurt VS sales - I think MSFT doesn't care just as they don't care about GUI workloads, because only thing they care now is having developers run their stuff on Azur

I had a bit of a pause trying to figure out if someone named a model „black hole” from that title. Hype is strong.

Problem is lots of SSO implementation will be dealing with some arrogant architects claiming you know nothing and their semi broken SAML is something you should implement for them for free - repeat for 100 times for each customer having the

Sounds like you did not work all that much. People want new computer because new hire Peter got a new one. People want new computer because they just had lunch with a friend that works in a different company and got a new computer and they

Another example is people from EU making fun of US buildings. Lasting centuries may or may not be preferable. There are places where you want to cheaply rebuild from scratch. Your castle after tornado and flooding will be irreparably bad. M

But with this you create another bunch of people like the guy in original article. Is free fork enough or people should get paid? Does that project owner hire some of people from community, what about ones left out?

IF you have a side gig it is easy to think you won’t be 100% invested in company success. If you monetize you most likely will jump ship. There are other risks like burn out as you may read a lot of OSS contributors have — so when someone i

Can you give an example because your „accredited syllabus” is vague. Keep in mind I have engineering degree and 15 years of experience so you are not writing back to 20 years old hack who just learned PHP.

I get pretty angry by those type of people. „Open source and free*” asterisk for „until I get traction or VC money”. That’s bait and switch and riding on community good will.

I pretty much don’t know a team that doesn’t have at least testing/staging environments. I don’t know a team that doesn’t use GIT and some issue tracker. That’s already engineering. Your sentiment is cute but I think you have some roma

But Dendron is a zombie project. I don’t mind project being done and in maintenance mode. But I am not investing my time into starting using it. Getting started page has screenshots broken on AWS.

Missing context is - there is always something else you work on like the guy was making Eleventy so it was waste of his time. If you work for a company and build todo app most likely it will not be beneficial for you to implement in-house l

I think there is missing point in this discussion. Most of the time you build something else. Like if you build a todo app and have to deal with scheduling you don’t spend time making date library because it’s not your goal. But people wou
