Good time/opportunity to get your team/company to invest in a registry+proxy to host all images you depend on.

I love this feature. I use it most of the time in large functions where I can group some lines as one logical piece but not generic enough to be a function. It helps with reading the code back and prevents leaking vars into rest of the func

Nice! Would be great to learn more about your experience. Was Wine not enough? Due to drivers or other features that ReactOS has?

I know people who used to think evolution is by design or somehow intelligent. Maybe it was a byproduct of the education system in my part of the world and yours did a better job but I've come across a lot of people who think like that

Te point OP is making is that being born without tusks is just a random chance, not a response to anything but as a result of this random chance, this elephant has a higher chance of living longer and having more babies resulting in higher

I know exactly what you mean and I get this a lot too. I always thought it was in my head but recently I tried a Drunken Noodle recipe from FreshPrep which used Beyond Meat Burgers and I felt nothing. It was actually delicious. I guess the

What difference would that make? You can invest $50k at $10k a piece or $10 a piece. In both cases it can easily go to $5k or $5.

Completely agree. I'd always be open to typing a lot more if it meant reading that code back will be obvious later. The true test is whether someone who knows the language but not the framework can read a piece of code and roughly unde

Open sourcing is in this is not about the implementation or the CS algorithm. It is more about transparency. I think the idea is that the public should know how tweets are ranked, why tweets show up in timelines and which timelines, what ma

As an outsider, I'd like big corps to spend billions on research projects or technologies like this than social networks like Google Plus. I feel a lot more good can come out of these projects even if the projects themselves fail.

Yes it has GUI. Flutter is the main/official way to build apps on it. The OS shell is also written in Flutter if I remember correctly. So far, the OS has been seen on or confirmed to release in near future on one Google Home device. Te

Off-topic: Is there a Google Photos like app out there for Android that can use a custom backend like Hetzner? By Google Photos, I mean ability to share photos with family, tag faces and have some level of smart categorization.

and that is exactly what tools like black do for you. A linter tells you a line of code could be better while as something like black goes further and makes the change for you so you don't even need to think about it.

Can I request a feature? I'd love Shortwave to ignore a specific folder or label in Gmail. I can then label stuff I deem extra sensitive and it would never leave Gmail. This would give a lot of people peace of mind when trying Shortwav

I think what OP is trying to say is that the merit of a given feature alone should determine whether it goes into the stdlib or not and author's reputation should not result in something being merged that wouldn't otherwise.
