It was only a commentary on whether buying adapters/dongles or converting to new hardware now vs. later doesn't (or shouldn't) matter to users individually, not a suggestion that USB-C adoption shouldn't concern users in

That's certainly true. Apple included the ports that people will use the most, at some point in what they believe to be the justifiably near future (we'll see!), and they naturally support adapters for those who need what are cu

Although it's odd, I suspect it's more a reaction to USB-C blowback than a conscious decision to harm Apple. These days, Microsoft is not generally one for going out of their way to put the pain on Apple. Besides, Microsoft's

Not to disrespect Moore — the man is a legend in my opinion, and he'll be sorely missed — but I tend to agree.

If what you're trying to achieve is to pump out some HTML, Go has built-in safe HTML templating. The template syntax isn't glamorous (in fact it can be very unpleasant at times), but with it you can catch type errors at parse time

I certainly agree. I think there are compelling arguments both for keeping the work to a very small handful of people and for spreading the work across many contributors. It seems to be early days for TFS, but so far it looks like an impres

I don't consider that a bad thing. The project may pick up more contributors down the road — or it might not. Either way, that doesn't speak negatively of the project itself.

I think there are some areas where GitLab can improve their CI story, but I agree that having a One Stop Shop for that is actually very compelling.

Lack of persistence is one such reason. Because Go's built-in maps are not completely safe to use concurrently, too, their usefulness as a key/value store is somewhat limited in many applications. Naturally, it's possible to

Maybe I don't understand what that means in this context. Why is making crude jokes more useful/effective/beneficial than reporting on issues and having mature discussions about those issues?

An outfit called Polyend has commercialized the concept with something they call PERC, though I don't believe they have something capable of engaging and disengaging the snare like this contraption. http://polyend.com/p
