This is false. Apple applied for a trademark of a black-and-white depiction of an apple. They aren’t suing any Swiss organization over infringement of a trademark. The Wired article makes it seem like Apple is going after someone here, bu

This anecdote is largely irrelevant, since by virtue of the way Google positions ads in search results, it’s fair to assume that you’re simply the exception.

I think you’re conflating terms (or possibly concepts) here. This isn’t about sending emails via React; this is about sending HTML emails generated from React components via a backend. The examples shown on the landing page are of Node.js

You may be thinking of Douglas Goodall, who designed and wrote the majority of Morrowind’s questlines. He left Bethesda shortly after Morrowind’s release. I don’t know if the general strangeness of Vvardenfell could necessarily be attribute

The tooling itself is in relatively good shape in my usage, although the VS Code extension currently has a number of rough edges (frequent crashes, etc.). It’s worth a try, but wouldn’t necessarily recommend ‘switching’ wholesale at the mom

Oregon and Washington — both blue states — are examples of other states that have begun to lean more heavily into restricting gun rights (whether you agree or disagree with the motivation & justification). So, agreed, it’s accurate to s

Remix is probably the most notable, but there’s Astro as well: https://astro.build/ My impression on Remix is fairly solid, but it doesn’t have quite the “just write and deploy” appeal that Vercel’s done quite a good job wi

CDK itself relies on a good number of hacks and workarounds, some of which are not well-vetted at all in my experience. Some of the workarounds are really a symptom in my opinion of certain resources not being part of CloudFormation itsel

Lambda@Edge is a great solution for the locality problem (CloudFront can just route to the nearest edge function, and despite certain headaches, it works well), but what it doesn’t help to solve is the cold start problem. In a sense Lambda@

The largest advantage currently (in my opinion) is with respect to cold starts. Lambda has gotten significantly better over the years, but cold starts are still a concern, largely because it’s difficult to anticipate the level of needed pro

Congrats on the launch! I’ve been so underwhelmed with Lambda’s lack of forward progress lately and have been wanting to play around a bit with V8 isolates. This looks like a super-easy way to get a runtime spun up and handling requests on

With few limitations, yes. In C++20, you could for example test for constant evaluation[1], using that as a mechanism to fall back to a real clock during runtime. [1]: https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/types/i

The use of “callout” in this case is best summarized by the first definition. Said another way, I don’t understand why it’s worth specifying the race of Workman, since it seems to bear no relation to the story.

Valerie Capers Workman is not the former worker. She is the former VP of people at Tesla. She seems to have been involved in the suit insofar as she claimed she was in the courtroom during the trial, but beyond that, it's not clear to

I tried to see if this info was available in SteamDB (and it probably is somewhere — I’m just not finding it in an easily-accessible way), but my feeling is that most games on Steam are still Windows-only.

I don’t think you read the article fully. The gripe is more about what mobile app developers do with respect to long-term support for older hardware/OS versions and much less about what Apple does.

Recently stabilized in v18, yes, and it’s pretty great, but it doesn’t support TypeScript without a transpilation step, so you’ll still need to implement a build pipeline before you’re able to run a test. For pure JS projects it’s quite nic
