The reason is PFAS *and* a competent administration which monitors waters and has laws to protect citizens... I'm wondering how many localities in the US have dangerous water and citizens are not even informed

Well, when all the US is going to be turbo-fascist and controlled by facial recognition and AI reading all your email and text messages to know what you're thinking of the Great Leader Trump, we'll be happy to have those regulatio

Very clear! And would it make sense to run it on a GCP VM, and use it as a "nicer docker-compose" ? Or that would entirely miss the point?

That would be quite useful indeed!

BTW check the tutorial for Incus it's great! Don't know if you can do something similar with Pangolin but this would be amazing to get a sense of what's possible to do! https://linuxcontainers.org/incus/t

Is there some kind of Terraform/Pulumi integration to make it easy to deploy stuff to some VM running Incus for my deployments? Or I'm missing the point of what Incus is for?

Nice, because Dokploy also uses Traefik to give a reverse proxy access to the services deployed there. Ideally I'd keep it that way, and also use Pangolin in order to add a login for services which don't "natively" have

Not sure I get it... how would you replicate this functionality with Kafka? You'd still need to have the database LISTEN to changes and push it to Kafka no?

Would Pangolin "integrate naturally" with something like Dokploy? Or is more meant to "replace" it? Could you make a Dokploy template to let people deploy it easily?

Would be nice if there were a mini-tutorial in the doc for each of the use-cases you mention here, so we could quickly test it and see if it helps

"Easily expose services on IoT and edge devices for field monitoring" can you give more details, would this be adapted to IoT devices running on MCUs like ESP32 etc?

Well, in order to have typesafety, validation, etc you might as well... directly write in Typescript? I'd argue that *you* are reinventing the wheel with a custom format...

After having so many issues with .env files I just now do a simple .env at the root of the repo with just `ENV=prod/staging/dev` and then everything is generated (using 1password, etc) from a `config.ts` file in my `pkgs/conf

I guess you don't have any knowledge about climate... the issue is not that the climate can be particularly similar to a given one eons ago, the issue is that the speed at which it happens makes it so that no plant or animal can adapt

I'm interested in WASM for "plugin extensions" on embedded system, where (if?) it would guarantee me a kind of "sandboxed VM" experience, where I know that the resources for the plugins are limited, and that if it c

how is it more or less good practice than running any untrusted binary on your system? the only possible stuff would be that the script download is broken midway and it becomes a "dangerous script" because eg of a `rm -rf /so

I like the idea, but for me the displayed rankings were not particularly good, perhaps it needs a bit more data Also I know that depending on the days / weeks / mood I will want to read different content from HN, so I guess there

What would be the typical use-case? Light data transformation? Is there a significant advantage over Rust-based embedded Postgres language like https://github.com/tcdi/plrust which is compiled and a bit more type-safe?

It's absolutely NOT silly. If a service is provided without guardrails and it can affect people suffering of mental health issues, it is clearly problematic
