Agreed. I used TensorFlow 1.x before PyTorch matured. Today, all of my deep learning is PyTorch based because TensorFlow 2.x didn't fix the core TensorFlow 1.x issues (e.g., poor reproducibility, unintuitive API design) and PyTorch per

I don't understand why you are getting downvoted. TensorFlow 1.x barely worked and people stuck with it because the alternatives were worse. I moved to PyTorch as soon as I could because it is better than TensorFlow 1.x, TensorFlow 2.x

The answer is obvious: you should have migrated off IBM Cloud a while ago. Your business isn't the target market for IBM.

BigQuery is a big overkill for a dataset that fits in memory. Colab + Pandas is the way to go unless you want to sit around twiddling thumbs while BigQuery shuffles the data around.

Unfortunately the small but passionate R community is taking a hit while DataCamp and RStudio are duking it out. It was hard enough to advocate for R vs. Python and this controversy makes it worse. No one likes to join communities where lea

Cool project! You posted a comparison to Clickhouse on the front page. Do you have any insights on how QuestDB compares performance-wise to PrestoDB? Also, PrestoDB is known to be manageable at scale, for example as part AWS Athena. What ar

You are describing the specific technical details about how Docker containers are implemented. The analogy to VMs comes from the observation that VMs virtualize the hardware while containers virtualize the operating system.

100% agree. I am especially bothered by the implicit agism in the study. PhD students tend to be in their early to mid-20s. There is a much larger pool of older engineers in the United States who can be re-trained as AI specialists. Instead

Your thinking about going against the crowd is exactly right. Pivot either into a niche in CS, e.g. machine learning, or try an emerging engineering field like robotics. Alternatively, consider something like genomics.
