It can definitely be done like your mentor said. As a Rails developer myself, I'm kind of biased to coders being part of the DNA of the company and having a strong stake in it. This is a great article on humbdledmba for non-tech co-founders

Same here with code search. Why write code that already exists? Code Search helped me find exactly what I needed for a few open-source projects I worked on. Google Buzz was dead before it launched.

Bug fixes are nice, but it doesn't change the fact that Chrome is more stable to begin with.

Personally, I think you need a committed partner who can code. Like Steve Blank/ Eric Ries like to put it, a Startup is not a company - it is a hypothesis. It's great that you have a business plan, but a business plan is a remnant of the 80

What we really need is a good Startup Visa. There are too many skilled entrepreneurs and programmers out there who are not getting their legit shot at the startup scene because of visa issues. Also with something like Tech, there happens to

lol...yes! out of all the degrees out there...I don't understand the MBA. Want to start a business? Start it! If you get the MBA you'll be stuck paying off a $100k debt.

Oh of course, in the end it's all about 'who you want to work with' and who's 'easy to talk to.' That's why so many extremely skilled engineers go unheard of.

Hmm...Yeah I guess I'd agree that you see less cross-industry mashups in the Valley. The Valley is home of the most superior engineering talent in the country - so it makes sense that its focus would be primarily in tech/web/mobile innovati
