While some people can't afford to have their own place to live, others apparently have too much money. Sigh. Good luck to you though!

Absolutely not, not until LLMs stop being unreliable bullshit generators, and I believe that the current generation of AI is simply not capable of it. Even the best available (lol) model, Fable/Mythos, is still a bullshit generator, ju

Sure. It doesn't mean that you're learning javascript though. This is where the OP, hodder, is wrong.

if this same effect happens for very wealthy and/or very senior executives? Yes, I'm 100% sure. It's for the same reason: if you don't actively use a skill - it atrophies; there is no workaround.

Dunno, I prefer GPT 5.5 too for the same reasons as the parent. Extremely subjective but had better results with it too. Maybe I just got unlucky with Claude a few times, but even the latest Opus was dumb .

How is text editing in it? This is what I hate about terminal coding UIs the most: all the text editing experience - the basic stuff like moving the cursor around, copying, pasting - is just broken.

It's not tough if you do your job and your management has no issues with you. What others are doing doesn't affect your performance.

No, they don't mean "you should log off everywhere" literally; rather, "don't open Teams/Slack/${our_corporate_chat_software}".

You're a good person. My manager doesn't stop overworking. When told on peer performance review that we have people who are consistently overwork because they are swamped, he played it down. But hey, at least he doesn't enco

Why are people still upvoting obvious AI slop garbage? Because it looks good enough to "pass". People are consuming low quality content all the time. It’s literally impossible to catch Pac-Man? Not true. You do

Okay why don't we restrict access to LLMs and internet, then?

The actual guardrail should be getting materials being difficult. The information is already out there in the internet. If an LLM knows how to make a bomb or whatever, why do you think it knows?

Ignoring comments is not a solution because the texts can be put in random strings among the actual code.

How do you know if this something is done? If you do the thing yourself, you know your knowledge limits, you know where the thing lacks. With LLMs, you don't. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. You have no idea.
