You never know… There was this tale of a neon sign that stayed plugged in inside a wall for something like 40 years and that was only discovered when they tore the place down.

This is how I feel. But I’ve had enough. I’m seriously considering leaving the field, it doesn’t bring me joy anymore. I think there are blue collar jobs that aren’t too hard on your body that have some of the elements we enjoy in SE while

Yes that’s a different story. I was talking about my own use case which is EPUBs that are typically a couple MB per book.

On most (all?) kobos, you can also upgrade the storage to whatever you want because it’s a microsd card slotted into the board. Just copy the system partition over to the new sd, expand, done. Mind you, I never needed to do it because 4 or

FWIW, we bought an arm to hold the kobo up while we’re reading (one of those smartphone holder things, they’re a dime a dozen) and a little device that clips onto the kobo. It comes with a remote, and you can turn the pages with it by makin

Doesn’t have to be this way though. We’re not obligate carnivores, you can eat no animal product for decades and be just fine.

What got me was the kindle’s inability to not have ragged edges on the right. It’s really not that hard to implement I’d assume, LaTeX and the kobo do it well. Switched to kobo + calibre years ago, never looked back. Also, I try my best not

Same here. Sleep tracking is mediocre at best. Some nights I’ve spent hours wide awake but lying down, the watch thinks I was awake for 20 min. Or when I wake up in the morning and read a book or scroll the phone to not wake anyone else up,

Same problem here. It doesn’t get better in my experience, the more you stay away the less you want to go back in. Over the last 15 years I estime I’ve worked 50% overall. This time I haven’t been working for over 2 years.
