What if we gave N95 masks to everyone? Several countries have mandated N95 or FFP/equivalent masks. America can afford it.

I had to install drivers from the Arch User Repository to turn off the lights on a Razer keyboard. It still stays lit and in color-cycle mode unless it's plugged in directly to a USB port on the laptop.

SSHFS has behaved a little jankily for me on Linux, too, since forever. I wonder if the protocol’s just not really up to the 2%.

Not everyone is the same as you. I enjoy immensely reading HN posts and comments related to politics, FAANG, social media, economics (where the comments are actually just about politics), drugs, or open-source drama. I also like interesting

Veering off course here, after experiencing how incredibly long it took to install Sqitch, I will go out of my way to avoid anything that is more than a single script, certainly anything requiring CPAN too. I don’t think there’s anything

So far I have no specific reason to think China goes places that are as deeply consequential and chilling than the US. What’s Assange up to these days?

Could you provide specific evidence that China has and would do this? I’ve a hard time recalling any specific cases. Maybe nation-states do this kind of thing, but I’m only aware of the countless times the United States has done this. What’

I’m just curious because I’m not a heavy mobile app user. The only apps on my phone right now that I feel really good are free. I paid for many apps but most haven’t been updated in years and have a lot to improve. Where are the good apps?

Hmm, I could have explained why that is problematic. The article here does it better than I can. On its own, a former CIA official working a different job is not unusual, that is agreed — on its own and not part of a pattern. https:/

Any employer engages in discrimination while hiring. Some categories are deemed legally protected. Some are not — an employer may choose to hire only people who have a bachelor’s degree. Discriminatory hiring practices are normal.
