I find it surprising that you think documentation issues are “extraordinary”. You have read literally any documentation before, right?

In case you missed it OpenAI does publish advice on prompting o1, but we find it incomplete, and in a sense you can view this article as a “Missing Manual” to lived experience using o1 and o1 pro in practice. The last

And looking for a deeper meaning in something this shallow prevents you from actually answering the question.

Sure, but then we could just take all the dependency code and put it in single line to make it quicker to review.

Hard yes, burden scales with number of authors and not number of lines. That’s… the whole rationale about not liking lots of small packages.

it's completely stupid to measure "number of dependencies" in absolute numbers. Lots of packages have a `-macros` or `-derive` transient dependency, meaning a single dependency can end up coutning as 3 additional dependencies

Hate to break it to ya, but those large corporations are filled with the individual Windows users that campaigns target.

The daily number of people who interact directly with Windows machines absolutely dwarfs the daily number of people who interact directly with Linux machines. Most malware campaigns target people .

Holy hell dude, you don’t need to write a novel for every reply. It’s not a lockfile because it’s a snapshot of what you have installed . End of. It doesn’t handle environment markers nor is it reproducible. Given any non-trivial set of de

Doesn’t account for differences in platforms or Python versions, and doesn’t contain resolved dependency hashes. So it’s a “lockfile” in the strictest, most useless definition: only works on the exact same Python version, on my machine, ass

No, that generates a list of currently installed packages . That’s very much not a lock file, even if it is possible to abuse it as such.

That take is so comically nonsensical I question why you’d even contribute it. I have no doubt you read and write code without any tools.
