When discussing Lotus Notes it’s useful to have a good understanding of two perspectives. Some view it as an ugly version of Outlook/Exchange, but those functions were not really the point of it (so comparisons to Outlook/Exchange

OpenWRT is remarkable in how many architectures it supports, with both ARM and RISC-V available. This just happens to be one board and it uses ARM, but it could easily be moved to an official RISC-V one when available with enough support to

There are other uses for WiFi than a home. Office buildings, stadiums, theaters, stores, etc. all often have WiFi available and more people using it. Newer/better WiFi versions are targeted for those kinds of uses.

I’ve never had a cable break like that. Many people just don’t know how to handle cables and treat them like rope without any knowledge of bend radius, internal wire twists, etc. (and don’t care if they crush them).

There are many people who go to school (or have an interest in) “business”, with the goal of building and running one. That education is about the structures of how to build/run a business, like legal structures, financing, building a

Please understand, the gym is NOT for weight loss! This is a myth perpetuated by both food and gym industries. Weight loss happens 90% in the kitchen (what you eat). Exercise is important for health, but do not expect to lose weight. Make s

How is the cable wire “deteriorating”? As long as the physical wire is in good shape, the technology to provide a connection is just fine (especially compared to what you have now). Sure, the cable companies are a pain to deal with, but the

Powerline is very bad. It generates huge amounts of RF interference and I’m surprised to see it keeps getting recommended here. MoCa is far better as long as coax is available.

Agreed, but it would be helpful to mention the alternative: MoCa. It’s far more reliable, doesn’t have the interference problems, and works in most of the same scenarios where people are looking at powerline (e.g. home networks).
