The 120Hz display on my iPad Pro gives me the same feeling, and I don't use it for anything important. Using my iPhone immediately after makes the phone display feel cheap for a bit.

Apple hasn't given any examples of removing APIs without a deprecation lasting at least a few years... on iOS. If it's deprecated on macOS, it's going to be around for a lot longer. They can certainly make things hellish for

I gotta ask, because I've used MBPs for the last 10 years, and I'm surrounding by dozens of people using the same: but what is your setup? Are you on High Sierra? Sleep used to be a problem for me and a lot of others... back in 20

Aside from Steve Jobs surprising the Facetime team with his open source announcement (and honestly, any Steve Jobs claims in general), what are you referring to?

Yeah, I'm a little torn on this. The OP's claim makes sense on its face, but then I think about my own household, where we're solidly upper-middle class, and my wife and I refuse to keep sugary cereals (and most other junks l

Why is there an assumption that competence is lost by allowing for equal opportunity? We can prioritize equal opportunity and then meritocracy within that. There's no need for all this handwringing about loss of quality, when there

Just anecdotal of course, but I live in a decent-sized-but-unimportant city and Bay Area recruiters have been hitting my LinkedIn inbox quite a bit in the last few months, when the last time I heard something from them was when I graduated

Facebook needs to start treating their video platform more like a YouTube competitor, that pays content-creators real dollars. If they stay on this path where they try to force all consumers and creators to be on their platform without ince

Here's where I let armchair "back in my day" parents down: I don't trust the drivers here. We also have massive elevation diffs and no sidewalks anywhere. Some ditches are basically cliffs.

I think this might have contributed, but a larger contributor is likely the explosion of housing developments with larger lot sizes and suburbs-of-suburbs/exurbs, which prevent a kid from knowing any other kids living within a mile rad

I believe it's accurate for a subset of middle class fams, and more higher class stay-at-home moms and families who can afford nannies. They exist, but most families don't have the time and money.
