In my case I withdrew my funds the day I saw the notice as I wasn't going to wait to find out. To your point, withdrawl of funds where Coinbase is acting as a custodian is something I believe they have to honor due to being a MSB.

To be fair, I was able to withdraw my funds - when your account gets closed you get told to withdraw everything immediately and go away.

Coinbase closed the account; they did allow all funds to be withdrawn. Fortunately there are tons of digital currency exchanges. Kraken, Gemini, Bittrex are all very viable alternatives that also comply with various regulations in the US.

Depending on the regulation, IMO a sensible middle ground is to phase in regulations based on company size as measured by revenue and/or employee count. This avoids crushing upstarts while regulating companies large enough to matter.

Microsoft Advertising is the only realistic ad platform for Microsoft Store apps and this eliminates a huge swath of business models. IMO the writing is on the wall for Microsoft Store apps.
