Webmin has had many remote vulnerabilities for many years, yet people still use it/leave it open to the internet. https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-358/...

I'm quite interested in how you integrate power management into the PI. There's very little in the way of 'real' power management solutions for the PI and a myriad of 'power down when the battery is low' soluti

You can run MicroPython on the nRF51822. That's a GC language. I've ran some fairly complex programs on it. Lack of careful programming and you run out of memory, but that's more a function of assuming you have a large memory

I think '100% uptime' is pretty much shorthand for "absolutely no reason to turn the machine off or stop services on them running, ever". As the above link mentions, everything is redundant. CPUs running in (near) lockst

This is quite literally ridiculous. In the UK we have the national grid that supplies all connected homes in the UK. It is the sole supplier of electricity. All electricity generated is fed to this national grid. Coal/Gas/Wind

This sounds completely insane. So we delegate security to an alleged "trusted" third party that both the sysadmin and user have to trust. Sounds like a massive increase in attack surface with questionable advantages.

Perhaps what is needed is a simple standard API that wraps OpenSSL, GNU/TLS, mbed TLS, Polar SSL, et al - that covers a small set of standard use cases. [1] It's not /hard/ using a library, but it's hard using it p
