The Devuan guys are also maintaining a bunch of the non systemd packages in Debian. And Debian says they’re fine having non systemd but any work needed to make openrc etc viable falls on the these guys.

Addresses in OSM are in expanded format eg 100 south 35th street. What you’re entering is likely 100 s 35th st. Osmand looks for exact string matches so it won’t find the address.

For maps, You should add Organic maps. People tend to like the UI more than OsmAnd. Personally, I use OsmAnd with custom map files for better address coverage: https://github.com/pnoll1/osmand_map_creation .
