I did something similar to this in Racket to generate unique filetype icons for unknown files. If you're careful with your defaults it can work really well.

Sinclair ZX BASIC actually checked for syntax errors as you typed. Because they abused the character table to "pre-tokenize" all the BASIC statements, you couldn't actually misspell anything either. (ZX80 and ZX81 at least.)

“I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it further” A single ad now on a network connected device is no guarantee that it will remain that way. Especially as it becomes "optimized" for revenue from all possible sources. It is

For what it's worth, Xara (xara.com) offers SVG output. I wonder if it could work with your setup? They also have their own integrated web site builder as well.

I have certainly met people who have done their level best to write Python that /looked/ like Java... But even they were disappointed at how un-Java Python was. I'm sure Guido is relieved.

Three cheers for mithril.js! I've used it for a number of things, including a complete rewrite of a heavy old app that used Ext.js. It was very simple to set up dynamic page assembly for very fast and flexible UIs. I've tried ment

It does add a "tax" of sort in the form time or attention that must be paid to keep a website up. You can't just sling some files in a directory and be done -- you have to pay for certificates or pay (in time and executable c

After using REBOL, I found the "standard" GUI functionality in Python for creating interfaces so unhappy I used pyPEG to write a DSL parser that would turn REBOL-style interface descriptions into introspective wxPython GUI's.
