I tried to give this a fair chance but it's really an incoherent rant. There is nothing of substance here. You don't like AI, I get. But it still exists and pretending that no-one finds it useful is utterly foolish. Edit: I overus

Types of technology - of which we can include intelligence - move along S curves, but it's more absurd to think that humans are near the top of that curve rather than right at the bottom. There might be a thing beyond intelligence that

Yes, houses are expensive, but it's not out of reach. You can afford a mortgage on the average home.

Thanks for your comment. It makes a little sense that the average person might struggle with costs in the US, but it doesn't make sense that the highest earners do.

To give context on my other comments, where I live in Scotland, median full time wage is around $55k. You can live a perfectly comfortable life on that; you don't have to worry about bills or medical expenses, and you can afford to get

Ok, I made my other comment before seeing this but I find it very difficult to believe you can't find something reasonable for far less.

If your net pay is $7000 per month you absolutely can afford to own a house, you're just being fussy about the house you want.

You owe everything to other people. What do we owe to each other is literally a joke question in things like The Good Place.

I was under the impression that it was more accepting the othodoxy of Galilean/Newtonian relativety and joining it up with Maxwell's discovery about electromagnetism. So if the speed of propogation of EM waves is the same no matte

It's not less accurate. As commented above, the control knew they were being tested against the machine, so made sure to be super careful. In everyday life the human is less careful, and the machine costs 1% of the human.

There's a massive difference between being perpetually employed and being fired for no reason at a job you've already demonstrated your ability at.

I suppose that makes sense if you assume that people who aren't right wing must be Marxist. I'm neither and am labelled left wing because I think everyone deserves some basic level of life and dignity.

People who understand society care about it. When you employ someone you take on a certain responsibility. You can't negate that by pretending that you're in an equal power relationship. That's why we have workers' right
