Side note to that: The GTX 1650 is actually weaker than the GTX 1060 (benchmarks: https://www.pc-kombo.com/us/benchmark/games/gpu/compare?ids[... ). That it was able to overtake the 1060 is actually a re

You don't maximize profits long term by killing (parts of) the market you rely on. Sales are at an all-time low because of the high prices, and if they continue like that the whole PC gaming market will evaporate. Companies are under n

That's not very re-assuring when the cooler is not working as expected. VRM gets killed by heat (I don't actually think it's likely that this is what happens here, but I do think AMD is making a mistake by letting customers r

It's not a small performance hit. The card is throttling a lot and ramping up the fans up to 1000RPM more than usual because cooling fails completely. There were report about cards failing while testing this (e.g. in the der8auer video

Do you expect it to scale that well? If it were linear it would reach something like a RX 570, but isn't it more likely it will just be a bit better than the graphics of the 5700G? So probably not even beating a GTX 1050?

There was a technology connection video about that - dishwashers are still good, the tabs are the problem. Use powder and make sure some is available in the first cycle (by putting it outside the container if necessary) and performance will

:) Maybe an aside, but for notebooks, I know that notebookcheck always has a section about this in their reviews. https://www.notebookcheck.net/HP-Dragonfly-Folio-13-5-G3-con... for example - and even if PWM is detected, th

That is not true for many displays. Have a look at reviews, whether there is pwm control/flickering is part of all(?) professional reviews now.

If it is not falsifiable, it is not science nor physics. It is meta-physics, ersatz-religion. Which is exactly the core of the complaint against concepts like this. Of course same thinking can't easily be applied to things that are not

Thats just 3 years, and likely the next release will be again full of incompatible changes. That's not a long timeframe for all but the most active (or smallest) codebases.

I definitely can relate. In the light version, the background has now less color, it looks more washed out. However, the author did improve the contrast when looking at the numbers. I ran the default text color through a contrast check and

Hey, kind of. I'm just collecting benchmark results to create a global ranking (global as in spanning release generations), not benchmarking myself. I saw that the eco mode of the AMD processors saw some attention, and then in the 1300

On the desktop side Intel's naming is not so bad. We are at 13000 now, 12000 was before, 14000 follows. They call it 13th gen accordingly, which is incorrect but memorable. Zen isn't all that better. Sure, Zen 1, 2, ... seems clea

But the service worker here (Anthony) has the power to approve the app, he is just incompetent or hostile to the author. The anger is warranted (though the statements are harmless), this is targeted sabotage. Maybe time to sue?

This is exactly what I feared Intel would do: Sabotage their own hardware by tying them to their shrinking eco system. Which is crazy - I am rooting for Intel here to get more competition, but would never buy it given this behaviour. But th

This specific processor should support an eco mode, minimizing that problem. I'm not sure ofc the board enables the option. Also relevant for the ryzen 7000 processors, where that mode limits performance minimally but saves a lot of en

You are probably aware, but ReBAR has a huge effect on these card, so much that it is a requirement to get stable and acceptable FPS in games. I would assume that means the effect would be huge also in those smaller benchmarks. edit: But

PHP changes behaviour of core functions all the time now (and subsequently breaks old programs with every release). In every release stuff is deprecated and deprecated stuff removed. Look at https://www.php.net/manual/d
