If the message was "I baked cookies, come by my office if you'd like to try some" do you think this person would similarly be fired? A person that was recently promoted, was designated as a high performer, (and I have nothing

I interviewed at Carbonite back in 2014ish. I walked out of the interview absolutely perplexed what they do and where the leadership was. Before I even got the rejection email I started the process to give me the option to short stocks beca

If a worker fails or gets pre-empted, how does it retry anything? It's gone at that point, no? Sounds like you'd end up with a bunch of dangling shards orphaned in WORKING state. And now you need timeouts and health checks and som

Maybe a silly question, but if I run a for profit SaaS and I package my software with my business logic up in a linux container which uses alpine as a base (which uses busybox), am I required to release the code for my business?

I don't think there is anything stopping you from bundling multiple services/deployments in the same helm chart. Many of the "curated" helm charts do it: https://github.com/helm/charts

I'm just here to thank whoever changed the title that used this as an opportunity to smear engineers. Levandowski was not an engineer. He was an executive and this type of behavior is completely in line with executive behavior.

Yes, auctions will be similarly gamed. I think one easy thing to do to ensure that small cos and rural areas still have access is to require all h1b hires to be level 4, the highest level. As it stands now more than 70% are hired at levels
