Why? Increase in supply will affect the entire curve, thus making housing cheaper for everybody. Ie that's like making one part of the room warmer.

The word scapegoat implies being blamed for something they are innocent of. Here Ireland is clearly complicit with Apple in the tax evasion scheme and thus isn't a "scapegoat".

First thing that jumped at me. He also says "I wish I could pay off the mortgage". From what he described, he should be able to pay it off in a year or two. Doesn't add up.

No, I don't think that. But I'm enough of a realist to see first generation asians / indians operating laundromats or chinese restaurants and their children becoming doctors or lawyers. So to my mind US is the land of high so

It's a silly conclusion. If you are born in the bottom 20% of household income you in the US you are probably from a different ethnicity than the top 20%. Meanwhile in Denmark they're all ... Danish! So essentially that study disc

I guess the point is that some benchmark should be used to determine whether a country is rich enough to take care of it s citizens. You and the commenter above disagree whether space program can be considered such metric.

His point is that if India can afford their space program, UK should not be sending them aid. Ie just like if your cousin decides to buy a Ferrari, you probably should not have to to support him financially.

Ok sure - then go ahead and do that. Say 'Have a look at X or Y'. By saying 'That's racist' you come out meaning to stop the conversation because you have nothing more substantial to say.

I find it rather hilarious that all you can muster is 'that's racist'. It pretty much means 'I can't produce a coherent argument that counters what you said but I don't like it, so I'll call it x-ist'

It's the modern version of 'mongoloid' which has gone out of fashion. Interestly enough, in the UK 'asian' refers strictly to people from India/Pakistan.
