You know companies can work on multiple things at time? Especially when its done by contractor like here?

I think you are missing the point. The font curves/shapes/beziers are not copyrightable. But the source code and resulting font file is (everywhere). Fonts are licensed just like software (or more like software plugins). So you ca

McKinsey and other consulting firms are built on this principle. Lobby for “retiring” or deskilling people in organisation and then replace them with your own contractors once problems arise.

The service is free up to certain amount of connected people and devices. You most likely don't need to pay for it. I am pretty heavy user and don't. It is virtual private network orchestrator. It allows you to connect to other d

What everybody is looking for is imagination and invention. Current AI systems can give best guess statistical answer from dataset the've been fed. It is always compression. The problem and what most people intuitively understand is th

That would make very little sense business wise. Steam “consoles” are not big break just for linux but also for valve. What could easily happen though is locking down their consoles once they get profitable.

I think the temptation to use AI is so strong that it will be those who will keep learning who will be valuable in future. Maybe by asking AI to explain/teach instead of asking for solution direclty. Or not using AI at all.

There wouldn't be as big problem replacing software. It wouldn't take much. But replacing hardware? That is the real problem where you need US (or maybe China, so pick your poison).

Fair. Look I think the big difference in perception is that in most countries outside US these trucks are just a symbol. Like if you see some F-150 or RAM it is always used by some angry MAGA and gun supporters. It makes no sense to use the

I mean the biggest issue is that “trucks” like F-150 are actually used because of US tax system that exempts such massive vehicles from emmision taxes because they are work trucks. They are pretty ineffective work vehicles but some people j

You are right. I didn't want to undermine the line of work. It is creative. Better word word would be flair? fancy? Basically content that doesn't try to scream i am special.

Whats with the git obsession? Modern CMS workflows separate the content from the website code/app. The code is always version controlled and for content most CMSes have some sort of content versioning.

I see you had a bad experience with CMSs but in reality vast majority of content websites use CMS and are for entities that have 0 developers. There is simply no way for them to use some homebaked static site generator script that you perso

I am curious what was possible with yaml+md files that was impossible with flat file CMS. Afaik flat file CMSes are basically glorified .md editors.

No. Everyone used them because people editing the websites are almost never developers. Moving to some static site generator powered by git is cool until your marketing team constantly bothers your dev team to change a typo.
