This isn't just a problem with just universities. I have a card reader as well, and any site that issues swipe-able ID cards is more than likely susceptible. You would be surprised how many use an incrementing ID that you can easily

Yea, I feel you. I used to live in DC and had a few friend that worked for the patent office. Hearing the stories about how things work internally made me lose all faith in the patent system.

Our immune system is adaptive. I find it unbelievable that scientists can draw an un-flawed conclusion considering that our immune system learns over time with the number of exposures.

Some states view these types of crimes as crimes of 'moral turpitude' and it doesn't matter if it is a felony or misdemeanor. It will definitely effect your ability to get a security clearance or job in the security space.

Everyone is guessing if they are storing in plaintext or not. But that isn't the actual issue to learn from their mistake. They have publicly asserted what they are doing (which is great information for a hacker), and chose a bad way

Best thing you may get is a scientific journal. These are expensive though. If you are affiliated with a university you can check their catalog.
