Based on the fairness argument of OP, this seems even more dystopian: 1. Buy a 'good product' which only wealthy people can afford 2. Buy stock because exposure to 'good product' implies you could improve your fortune 3.

You can, its called a cash account. IMO this is better than a margin account, especially for <20k$. Below this threshold margin accounts are usually treated nearly identical to cash accounts.. except you can _buy_ when you shouldn't

Accounts were exposed in previous hacks, the accounts are now being exploited if the user didn't change the pw credentials and used the same email address. Nothing in this suggests this is Zoom's fault (except that they might be a

Self-isolation reduces the risk by the largest factor, maybe up to the 99-99.5% level. Guess who cant self-isolate? Doctors. Wearing a mask, if the entire population is infected, provides a benefit because you are surrounded by infection. G

Yes, and this is the correct decision. How many people do you know that are physically ill with COVID-19 that you have to be around for 8hrs a day? I know 0, and my self-isolation prevents me from being near anyone who is asymptomatic. By w

If we had prepared this response is fine. However we didnt, so stop promoting ordinary people wearing masks. [1] Masks protect other people from you spreading the disease if _you_ are sick. This is true, unless you spend your day around cov

Stop promoting this. [1] Masks protect other people from you spreading the disease if _you_ are sick. [2] Doctors and nurses need that mask. Even now the risk of contracting the virus, if you are following isolation protocols, is extremely

I agree with the above. Additionally: know what you are buying and know the rules. For example, a less sophisticated instrument is a stock. Why does a stock have value? What do you get in exchange for money? Why are companies incentivized t

The US government is only partially to blame here. Goldman Sachs apparently donated over 100k N95 masks to New York last week. As a personal critic, I did see some of this coming in my own finances and did divest. I should have done more to

This article does not mention the WHO offered tests to the US before the CDC decided it should make its own[1]. This alone should have been enough to bring impeachment charges against public officials, for criminal neglect. If the WHO had p
