The nil return assignment is a compile time error, so easy to spot. It is not supposed to be the defence of the API or a silver bullet, just a practical rule that can save you some hustle.

Without defending this API, the easiest way to go about avoiding bugs when working with slice mutating functions is to consider all those "fine" scenarios as not fine. Always assume that only the return value of slice mutating fun

As the saying goes, "it is turtles all the way down". How do you ensure the log is "written" and "synced" _exactly once_?

I thought the idea of "exactly once" was a very questionable claim given what we know about computing, specially distributed. Then somewhere else you see this gem. > Workflows in flawless are written in Rust, in fact they are j

You see it as "7%" but for Apple it is "a large enough market for a competitor to grow into a potential risk for taking away market elsewhere too".

No. The notion that it must be IPv6 or extra octets is naive. IPv6 is not worth a complete departure, and it won't happen for that reason.

IPv6 will never replace IPv4 for good. It is a non-solution that we will have to contend with along with IPv4 until something proper is worked out.

Why? Is it because you think CAD can't be stressful and under pressure or that people shouldn't do CAD when stressed or under pressure?

The domain does not have to be derived form anything, only associated (owned?) with an ABN/ACN. And the bar for registering an ABN is as low as signing up for an email account. People in Australia use .com.au all the time, domain.au al

I think opening up .au was criminal. Same as the .uk one. Investor value at the cost of hurting small business by increasing cost or creating confusion.
