This article is gold. I honestly hope the startup bubble bursts soon enough so this kind of crap finishes one and for all. Too much money has been wasted in these "companies" that could've been used for better purposes.

What does designing have to do with writing HTML and CSS? I know a lot of guys who know HTML and CSS from head to toe yet they couldn't find for the life of them two matching colors to build a design.

Of course "Making UI look good is not auxiliary", I agree with that, but you're talking about design, and the article is talking about people who _just code_ HTML & CSS. Those are two totally different things.

I don't understand why the author is so surprised about the reaction of her audience, who would not hire someone who just does HTML + CSS. In particular, I totally disagree with this paragraph: > I understand the desire to have peop

I don't agree. For starters, the more traditional UI of Maya is easier to grasp than Blender's. That's quite a difference that makes the learning process much easier for Maya.

This kind of projects are always interesting, although not for the problem they try to solve (I ain't downloading >500mb of deps just to take a screenshot of code) but for discovering what are the trendiest technologies right now. T

It's funny how, for years, we've been trying to get away from HTML mixed with code (specially in spaguetti PHP), just to get back to something similar again.

I've just written a well formed question in stack overflow and within the first minute it already had a downvote and a comment questioning the wording. In order to avoid a worse hit in my karma I've deleted if. It's a shame w

I think the opposite. It's unfair for medics without a PhD to be called doctor. If you have a PhD you've earned all the rights to be called doctor and to use the preffix whenever you feel like. I would if I had a PhD.

A ten year old car with 100hp using 95 octanes could make on average about 8l/100km. Currently they're about 5l to 6l on average. On 1000km that's close to 30l, with a rate of 1.20€ per litter that's 36€. On a lifespan o

You're right. This is just a proof of concept to discover the basics of task queues. You know, it's good to reinvent the wheel to know how it works. It's not meant to be used in production environments ootb.

Yep, you definitely need to secure your system in order to avoid the worker running malicious code. Now that you mention it, I've left a test vps running this on the wide and now I'm laying on the bed about to fall asleep, too tir

The number of options celery has is overwhelming. Also, the concepts used by rabbitmq and celery (the most common setup) are not straightforward to understand: when you mix queues, exchanges and routing keys you'd better stop and get a

The idea is great, the implementation not so much. Add a simple code block in markdown and the engine gets crazy with quotes getting converted to HTML entities, etc.
