Yes THAT problem still exists. Zig does not try to solve that problem (currently). It tries to solve a lot of other problems with C. Using the ownership model is one way of solving memory problems. There are others. I've seen discussio

You would have to make it very clear that there is a possibility for liability or for the customer to sue if that expiration date is decreased.

I would add one more thing to why simplicity is good: - it is easier to reach consensus on. I have started to realize that so much in our society is how it is because we need some kind of consensus to move forward. And so much of added comp

Yeah but is anyone asking the real question: how many million of years has children had to learn to avoid Teslas? A design flaw if you ask me. Why I am hesitant to getting one of my own...

I think this is a much better way to take it. Blockchains are super useful. They solve problems in distributed systems very elegantly and effectivly. It is the consensus part of a crypto currency blockchains that is the part I usually have

I think it was an idea who's time had come. Declarative WoW has been gaining momentum as git has been incorporated into more and more dev flows (ex: CI automation declared in repo is now standard). Nix or Guix is just a natural extensi

I think Stadia never made good of any of its real promises. Did the browser solution ever get released? I guess there were probably huge technical problems but I think that was were it truly would have found its market. Imagine watching a

Yeah I don't really understand that either. I have never written D myself but everyone I've looked at the language it has seemed to have sensible solutions to things and I would much rather write that than C++. I guess it hasn

We would need some way to keep track of all these owners. Hopefully it would be some kind of distributed and immutable ledger... Huh I don't know...

I would not say it is "assigning them a more extreme position". Net neutrality activists regurarely use the phrase "treat all bits the same" which I do not agree with. It is a more complex topic that we should have deepe

When something like this happens they should be required to hand over the server software. Even better would be to have to open source the code but atleast give out the server. Then the company would have a choice; either you pay for the se

This might be an off topic and immature critique but the image under the "Start Meeting" heading places the hilt of the looking glass in a very... precarious location - maybe especially for a dating app.

I did a bit of the last AoC in BQN. I really liked the language but got stuck a bit when it came to the more tricky loops where you had to do some reassignment if I remember correctly... I should go back and finish the rest of it. Saw there
