I love the new two-in-one progressbar, showing overall progress and progress of current file in a single progressbar.

I'm on a danish keyboard; the programmer-handy keys like "[" and "]" have been moved to shortcuts (alt-9 for "]") to make room for the danish letters "æøå", so some of the combo's that are easy to make on english keyboards are next to impos

The author recommends remapping "kj" to ESC. I've remapped caps lock to ESC, which I think is a far better use of that useless button, and a hack i recommend to everybody i know who uses VIM. I could never understand that VIM choose to put

Maybe it's just me, but i was hoping for deeper insight into how the device feels in day-to-day usage, not just a list of features that i might as well have read on Apples info pages. Stuff like: how the device feels to sit with for longer

The SQL looks way easier (and shorter). I hope somebody will take it upon themselves to write an sql-to-mongo-mapreduce compiler.

HTML5 is not a valid alternative to Flash. Sure, there is some overlap between them, but there are way more differences. It's (like so much else) like comparing an apple to an orange.

I actually think that the period to end blocks syntax is one of the most interesting things about it. It's such a small thing, but i find it quite intriguing.

I love the fact that we've gotten speed of innovation back into web browsers, and i wouldn't ever want to go back. However, i also fondly remember a time not long ago where all i had to do was to develop in IE6 and I'd be sure it would work

I, for one, welcome a django-like templates for .net -- Especially since it's open source. I looked for exactly this half a year ago, and couldn't find anything. I ended up writing my own template language, which i never would have done if

WriteRoom is cool for sure. If you ever need to "upgrade" a bit, then i've personally found Ulysses to be the next logical step. It has a fullscreen mode akin to writeroom, but also supports semantic marking for later output generation + sy
