Thanks for the video recommendation. It’s a great video explaining and showing what’s going on in hardware. No filler content, very good.

I really don’t understand the point of this. If you’re in a browser all day, then you’re also in your browser all day so just use a free app (or even the built in calendar that most OS’s have. There’s absolutely no way I’m ever going to ena

I’d probably bet that the majority of games on steam have less than 1000 sales, so being a popular game on Steam probably doesn’t mean much compared to being a popular game by daily active users viewing unity ads.

I was once pulled on to a small unity mobile game that was being released by a small studio in the iPhone 4 days to help fix performance issues. After looking at the frame capture, I could see that the entire scene was being rendered about

That’s exactly the point. If you can list the number of ‘AAA’ games on one hand, then the meme holds true. I work on AAA games on in-house engines, and I’m yet to meet someone at work that would consider using Unity for anything other than

In the UK ‘Sudafed’ (the brand of decongestants) is available off the shelf, but doesn’t contain pseudoephedrine. There is a different ‘Sudafed’ branded coloured box that you can get from behind the counter by asking someone, that does cont

This is a pretty bad take. Not only is the new (apparently, I don’t use Edge) order easier to dismiss with the ‘better’ option, but it also matches Microsoft’s own guidelines which are applied in most places in Windows: https://l

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I’m talking about modern ads that you see now. They will often say ‘search for Hilton hotels’ or whatever, rather than the domain. I thought that was to help SEO

I always assumed that ads that told people to search for the product/company were to raise their search ranking (due to relevancy?). But I’ve got no idea if that would actually make a difference or not, or if it is just so people don’t

I received some cheese in a food kit that was labelled as Vegetarian, but I misread it as Vegan so I didn’t bother eating it (I’ve had bad experiences with vegan cheese in the past). I’d not seen cheese labelled vegetarian before which is p

I actually dislike Teams because of the Office integration. Teams where I work ends up with 10’s of ‘teams’ with 100’s of channels. Each channel having its own set of documents that have been uploaded and added as tabs to a channel. It’s im

What is the idea behind this? The only thing I can think of (I’m not a web developer, so might be missing something obvious) is that it would ‘stop’ third party tools from being able to automate the login flow. But if that was the case, cou
