I still remember my gray socialist upbringing. When i started to glue my playtoy with chewing gum paper from wrigleys, because it had this green, flashy, metallic finish and it looked awesome. I like the blinking distraction.

That is cute. I would always worry about the joints and bones, because there is not much muscle yet and everything is still in the making. But then again, if i see, what toddlers all do and not break apart, i should be optimistic. Thanks fo

Does it not depend on the windows, though? My contract in a new place does not require me to open windows several times a day anymore. The windows seem to have a built in mechanism, that allows for air exchange. I can even feel a cool breez

Depends on which country you are in. In germany some popular contracts are bound to inflation index. So rent increases, while employed workers may have to wait with their raises, as companies have to tighten their belts.

Sometimes i wonder how we were able live on the back of people like you for such a long time. I remember my elders used to grow up on a farm too, getting up early, cold or warm, no excuses. And me just doing IT things, leaving the "day

Back in the day i struggled with the term invariant, same as with pre- and postconditions. Now i am actually quite happy being able to use them. Anyways, when i describe invariant i also say something is in itself consistent or true.

How would you design a microservice, that does not depend on another?

I liked the example, it illustrates it from a different perspective. However, why not paying daily? Hourly? Minutely? In the age of computers...

I agree with measuring. That is at least a good outcome of all of this. That it becomes more and more visible for normal users, that news have just become entertainment. And with having news in aggregated/dense form for everyone, one c

Always liked reading the code in src.zip from the java sdk. Not too dense. Really dislike reading scala or kotlin code, though, feels like perl back in the days. But saves a lot of boilerplate.

Slightly? Have you looked at the energy prizes lately? I think the approach, pain now, sustainanble energy and independency of fosssils later, is highly risky. What if the alternatives are not ready for the winter?

BER works just fine, if the problems get resolved. The last time, i got picked up by someone. Walked a little, stepped outside, into the car, and out of the airport area. Done.

Yep. And i am not saying its a bad or good thing to do it that way. Just that it is one solution to a problem. Another could be, that people in need are part of their communities, people know you, and there is a charity, where people pay in

Just take the government and a centralized ID out of the equation and it becomes an interesting problem. And why do i need a big guy, who hands out an ID with a silly watermark, prooving, that it is me? We have families, we have offspring,

I do not find it stupid at all. I would prefer to live a life without a government, that issues proof of identity for me. And rather have a working economy, where the problem of ID independent of government is solved. I know, it is convenie
