Sadly neither is anything like the original iTunes. It really wasn't very different from iTunes now: Imagine iTunes without any references to a store, apps, movies, etc., completely focused on importing, burning, listening to, and organizin

Good. Maybe then I can have my music player/library that's just a player/library, like the original iTunes.

Also, having an account that is less than a year old doesn't mean very much. I've been using Hacker News since early 2008, but Oinksoft is only about a year old, hence the age of this account.

So now you've gone from "I don't want to be negative..." to full-on anti-Piston zealot? Looks like you just edited that post, > Critical Update 2012/05/10!!! > Critical Update 2012/05/10!!! > Critical Update 2012/05/10!!! (I gue

I think this is why many people nowadays use ad blockers like AdBlock Plus, and tracking blockers like Ghostery.

It's in the BitBucket footer: We run Django 1.3.1 / Piston 0.3dev / Git 1.7.6 / Hg 1.9.1 / Python 2.7.3 Presumably they use it for their APIs http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BITBUCKET/Using+the+...

> I don't want to say anything negative, but let's face it: django-piston is dead. Typical "I don't want to be rude or anything..." bullshit. Django Piston is not a dead project. It is stable and not buggy, which may explain why there i

I'd just like to say that I'm very thankful Firefox has neither invisible scrollbars nor inertial scrolling. F11 is full-screen in Firefox.

Note that ClojureScript is only related to the Google Closure project via the compiler. So a demonstration of jQuery to Closure Library API calls would serve an unrelated purpose.

ActiveResource was very buggy and it's good they're getting rid of it because it doesn't seem like there was any effort for improving that wart. Django ROA, which is just a third-party app, is far more thorough and predictable.

Just a small note, your website breaks the back button. It would be nice if it did not break the back button though.

Free and open source are not opposing philosophies. Software cannot realistically be considered "free" without being open source.

For me, that depends on the size of the library and how much I am using it. I really don't need a library to handle the logic of connecting to a server and sending things as simple as IRC messages. This is not something that I really expect

I wouldn't submit a pull request because I'm not interested in ever using this project. It accomplishes one narrow goal and would need to be rewritten to do much else -- and the twisted requirement is onerous. I guess it's a special effort

This is what @export (and the related functions in the library for if you are not using annotations) are for. In the context of Closure, this is clumsy. But I expect that not all other minifiers offer the same flexibility.
