You did the right thing. This was completely irresponsible. I'm shocked that Wired, the author, or either of the researchers have yet posted a "we screwed up, sorry" statement. It's a shame because this is an incredible

There is no way a "not real-world conditions" argument could be made if this same test was done on a test track. No automaker would even try it because it would generate even more bad press. The "researchers" did the tes

Great program, well done YC. Also a good case study on what makes a good intro/landing page for a product. Quite a few "so how is this different" questions in these comments.

Is this a joke? $600+ for a desk LED lamp? Even if current LEDs lose brightness, you could just replace the bulb every month for the next 10 years before this lamp even came close to an ROI. But I guess Dyson isn't going after the &quo

Agreed that manned missions are hard and expensive. That is an area that $100 million could help (even in a small way). But even robotic missions are very limited. We just had our first flyby of Pluto (not an orbiter). Jupiter doesn't

Is this the only source for Telegram open sourcing their servers? Seems like this tweet could just as easily be saying that they are removing the 200 person limit in August, not open sourcing.

Seems like a huge waste of money to me. If you're interested in ET, why not invest in the space industry to advance our capabilities? It'll be hard to interact with ET when as a society we are essentially[0] earth bound. [0] http

What "awesome other things" will this accomplish? No research is being done with this, it's just pointing a radio dish at the sky and listening.

I knew about this service, but didn't know I only needed the VPN for signup! I didn't think streaming from "another country" would work, great to know I only need that to set it up. It is pretty expensive though, wish th

Agreed. If you're responding to emails during a meeting, you are either missing important information from the meeting, writing bad email, or you don't need to be in the meeting in the first place.

As a huge American football fan, I don't want an ESPN streaming service. Cut out the middle man, give me an NFL games streaming service. The NFL could be innovative and do this now, but like ESPN they will ride out the cable model unti

I'd be surprised if OP meant bug bounties. Most rewards seem to be in the $2,000 - 10,000 range. They take time to discover so you'd have to be pretty productive (and perhaps lucky) to regularly find enough bugs to earn a salary i

As others have said, the US will get support in fighting ISIS. Also this will go a long way in building up relations with Iran in the hopes of one day counting them as a reliable ally.

Seriously. Before calling out Adobe, Facebook should announce when they'll be Flash-free. Otherwise it sounds pretty silly: "Tell us when we have to stop using this insecure, resource-intensive software."
